February 14th - press conferences continue.

Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan, State investment committee and state property management of the Republic of Tajikistan, Statistics Agency under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Export Agency under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan held press conferences on the summary of 2022 on January 14th.

According to the Minister of Economic Development and Trade Zavqi Zavqizoda, the production of primary aluminum in the country was 62 thousand tons in 2022 which is 2.5% more that in 2021. He added that production of 100 000tons of primary aluminum is planned in current year.

The director of export agency Bahriddin Sirojiddinzoda informed during the press conference that in 2022 Tajikistan reduced the export of industrial products. Until the ban on onion export, 67 000 tons of onion worth 6.7 million US dollars was exported, added Sirojiddinzoda.

At the press conference of Statistics Agency it turned out that last year Tajikistan sold 106 million dollar worth of electricity abroad. According to Jamshed Nurmuhammadzoda, the head of the agency, Tajikistan has exported 1.7 billion kilowatt hours of electricity to Afganistan and 1.6 billion kilowatt hours of electricity to Uzbekistan last year. A small part of electricity was exported to other countries, added Nurmuhammadzoda.​ ​ ​
